Details, Details

Lead Time: For orders that need to arrive by a specific date, we ask that you place your order at least two weeks (aka, 14 days) in advance. (For orders of 200+ cookies, make that at least three weeks, or 21 days.) This window includes transit time. That said, we hate to disappoint and so will always do our best to accommodate even last-minute orders, but may need to add a rush charge of $20 per order. If you happen to be one of those extremely organized types and would like to place an order well before your event, we gladly accept orders up to nine months in advance. We can hold your order with an approximate quantity of cookies; then within 10 days of shipping or delivering your order, we ask that you email us your final count. (Not to worry, we’ll remind you when the time comes!)

The Fine Print: Changes to your order: Changes to the quantity of cookies and/or personalization and/or ribbon color will be accepted up to one week in advance at no charge. We understand last-minute changes are inevitable and will do our best to accommodate changes beyond that time for a possible nominal charge. Please email all change requests so that we have them in writing; a reply acknowledgement will be sent within 24 hours. If you haven’t heard back from us, please call to confirm that we received your email.  Cancellation: Orders may be cancelled up to 10 days in advance of the delivery date at no charge. Up to one week in advance, there is a $100 cancellation fee; any time beyond that, a 50 percent cancellation fee may be imposed.

Payment: We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover; your card is not charged until the order is started. From our corporate clients, we also accept payment by check; and for local deliveries, we won’t say No to cold, hard cash.

Shelf Life: Our cookies are baked to order and decorated by hand within 72 hours of shipping. This ensures their freshness upon arrival to their destination. Our cookies are free of preservatives and will stay fresh and yummy for about four weeks when stored correctly. (The honey in our recipe tends to act as a natural “preservative.”) To maintain their freshness, please store cookies at room temperature in an air-tight container. If the cookies are loose, layer them between sheets of waxed or parchment paper; if they’re packaged in their original cello bags, place them in the container without crowding them. We don’t recommend refrigerating or freezing our decorated cookies; moisture from chilling doesn’t “play well” with our Royal icing.

Samples: We’re happy to provide you with a sample of the cookie(s) in which you’re interested (providing you’ve given us enough time…). We recommend you order at least two cookies—one to taste and one to view for help in making your decision. For that reason, we’ve priced samples from our repertoire (as viewed here on the site) as a kind of  Twofers: 2 for the price of 1½. Custom samples, however, are priced at our discretion. We ship all samples via Priority Mail (unless requested otherwise), making the whole transaction as budget-friendly as possible.

Further assistance: If you have additional questions, please give us a call. We are only too happy to talk about our cookies and discuss how we may be of service to you!
